Inspiring new perspectives & transformative action

Divorce Mediation / Legal Separation Mediation involves attorney mediators working with both parties to create an agreement and navigate the legal aspects of the process.
SMDC Family Mediator / Child Specialists will work with both parties to design a child custody agreement that focuses on the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of the child(ren).
The child custody mediation process begins with meeting the parents to answer questions about the mediation process and discuss your unique goals and objectives for our time together. This is followed by the Child Specialist meeting with the child(ren) to ensure their voice/s are heard regarding concerns, needs and desires as they adjust to their changing family. The Child Specialist then supports both parties in devising their written co-parenting plan that will become a part of the divorce or legal separation agreement filed by the attorney mediator.

ADULTS: SMDC will use an eclectic, individualized therapy approach to inspire new insights and perspectives as we explore and address your challenging thoughts, emotions, and/or behaviors.
CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS: SMDC will work with children and adolescents who are experiencing emotional challenges such as anxiety, depression, anger, and trauma.
